Photographer Captures The Regal Nature Of The Largest Pet Cats In The World

After moving to China with his family, Robert Sijka began to miss the company of pets. He and his family adopted their first Maine Coon cat from Europe, the largest breed of domesticated cats in the world. They loved the unusual, lynx-like cats and soon began to breed them.
One thing lead to another and before they knew it, the family had a whole collection of cats on their hands! They eventually opened their own Main Coon cattery which became the first of its kind in China.

With so many cats involved in Sijka's life, he wanted to find a way to capture their personalities to share with the rest of the world. That was when he began to learn about photography. His goal was to take beautiful and interesting photos of the cats that didn't require retouching.
"My passions are cats and photography, I do my best to combine these two things as good as possible," he says.
Sijka's portraits of the massive cats capture their regal nature perfectly. The looks on their faces are arrestingly beautiful.
